This is Amy. I just figured I'd post since nothing better in going on. haha Andy and Ashleigh went home this weekend. (i would love to be home right now). and Paige went to Miss St. So its me and the trailer...again for the second weekend in a row. how fun!? I had my first day of working at Toomers today. It was.....not fun, to be honest. It was mad crazy the whole time and I had no idea how to do anything. I really felt like I was sprinting around the store the whole 7 hours that I was there. I got to my car and had a parking ticket and I am extremely sticky. I wish I could be home. This weekend is going to be rough. Andy isn't here to talk some sense into me haha and I work again tomorrow at 11am till who knows when!!! Everyone at work was nice. just busy. They all kept telling me it wil never be this busy, its only cause its the Florida game this weekend. I think I'm going to be "sick" on the Iron Bowl weekend...ugh no thanks. Well now that I have complained enough...well I dont really have anything else to say. Prayers for this weekend would be great.

Weirdos from Huntsville
Today is gloomy and rainy and chilly in Auburn...but I LOVE it. It is such a great change from sweating when you step outside on the way to class. How great is it that we serve a God that created seasons?! and rain..water falling from the sky?! WHAT? that is quite amazing if you ask me.
Well, we realized we haven't blogged in a while. We were on the bus ride home today and just had some funny conversations. ((keep in mind that the people around us are 2 feet or less away from us))..((and no one talks on the bus, so I'm pretty sure everyone was listening to us))..((do we care? nope.)) anywaysss-I(amy) had a slightly overwhelming moment of deja vu. It was awesome. Deja vu is just a crazy thing. I could have sworn I was in Huntsville like 5 years ago. But nope, Im still in Auburn and its 2011 so no worries. We agreed that we think deja vu is awesome and it needs to happen more often! agree?
((we had an in depth convo about all this on the bus))
Second, we decided everyone probably thinks we are on drugs. but we ARENT! Don't worry Mom, Im not. Neither is Ashleigh for that matter! bahah oh man.
We are probably 2 or the weirdest people ever. I made us quesodillas when we got home. Yes, I have a George Foreman quesodilla marker. Its great. We were eating our delish "meal" and I said we should have a Mexican Party! Ashleigh said we are having one! So(jokingly) I looked at the air next to me and said Oh! Hey Suzie!...I was just assuming there were other people here since Ash said we were having a party. We finished our "party". and it was great.
Now that you probably understand why I think we are the 2 weirdest people ever...let me explain:
1. We do not do drugs...seriously.
2. Deja vu is still awesome.
3. We do not talk to the air...at least not very often
Yep
I miss Huntsville, a lot. More than I thought I would. Its different when you want to live here and then when you actually do live here. Don't get me wrong, Auburn is a great place! and the football games are so fun. But I do miss home. Everything was so easy..and everything was what I knew and love. Change is weird sometimes and I guess I'm still adjusting. Ill be okay!
Hau is defiantly where my heart is and will be for a long time..or maybe even forever?! I love the people in Hau and "my" girls..and OF COURSE, the Staff. The Staff is so wonderful. "My" girls--you know who you are--I miss them so stinkin' much! I get texts from them sometimes and it seriously lights up my whole week! I tell people about how I worked with Hau and specifically with "my" girls and I think they kinda get what I'm talking about when I say that I miss them and love them so much...but I just don't think they can fully understand how much I truly love them. EVERY SINGLE PERSON in Hau has changed my life, without a doubt, and mean a lot to me. (if you are in hau and reading this, you mean a lot to me). Side note: I miss Bill!!!! He is so great and happy all the time!! It must take some serious energy to be so positive and excited 24/7. I can't wait to see everyone in Hau again for more than one Sunday every once and a while when I come home from Auburn.
Life goes on and I am supposed to be in Auburn right now, whether I enjoy it or not, for a reason. Im just not sure what that reason is at the moment. But it will work its way into my life for sure...and when it does, I'll let you know.
The End

Pilates
hi.
(amy writes in green and ash writes in yellow)
gummy worms.
yankee doodle went to town, riding on a pony, stuck a feather in its hat and called it mac n' cheese.

yankee doodle went to town, riding on a pony, stuck a feather in its hat and called it mac n' cheese.
that was amy.
Please excuse the randomness of this blog. We don't have normal lives. You are about to catch a glimpse of what we do on lot 261.
TRAUMATIC EVENT:
toilets.
First of all-WE DIDN'T DO IT!
Ok, now our toilet has issues. It likes to growl and spit at us. It doesn't like to BE NORMAL. On one of our toilets "off days", we tried to flush it. It didn't agree and turned itself into a waterfall...yes, in our house. Its kinda like a transformer(the evil guys). Good thing we have lots of towels...cause we used them ALL. We learned how to plunge through this experience and it is very good that we have an air freshener. Imagine what it smells like under a trailer, that was our bathroom. The "transformer" calmed down long enough for us to clean up. We stuck the bazillion towels in the washer(oh, the washer, another transformer living in our house). A few days later, Ashleigh and I tried to plunge it again...and it spit, again. It had ZERO water in it but we tried to flush it anyways. It worked. Thank goodness, because our towels were still sitting in the washer cause we forgot about them. We swiffered and our "transformer" has been very good lately.
Oh, the smells.
The pleasant and the unpleasant always seem to find a way into our nostrils.
One particular instance was when Amy and I were in a precious little shop filled with gems of all sorts. For example, Pokemon backpacks.
Pokemon was your first thought too, yeah?
amy: "ASH. Let's get these and use them on campus"
ash: "um. YUSS. That would be so fun, everyo-" *SNIFF SNIFF*
(insert awful, un-human, indescribably terrible smell here)
I cannot describe to you the burning sensation we felt in our eyes due to this stench. I CAN tell you that we quickly ran from that area muttering "wasn't me" "definitely wasn't me". There was no one around us. It was totally amy.
Ok, to start-IT WASN'T ME ASHLEIGH!! crazy dude.
Now onto the next SUPA-BEYOND EXCITING event that makes our lives story-able.
Well, as you know, or maybe you don't, but we live in a trailer! yehaw! Its....different...than living in a real house. We have wiring problems very often. We first realized that only half of the trailer had cable. The end that Ash and I are on are the lucky ones without it. We called my dad...he said for us to go UNDER the trailer and fix it! HA! Like that would happen. Under the trailer is scary and dark, just to let you know incase you have never been down there. (You are welcome to come under our trailer anytime you want!!) Well we were feeling adventurous and grabbed our handy dandy flashlight(we only have one) and trekked down under. We found the door, actually just part of the trailer that isn't attached anymore, and opened it. Well lets just say thats as far as we got. Its a lot darker once you get down there..
Speaking of transformers(yeah, i know i wasn't even close to talking about transformers) anyways, we have another transformer in the house besides our toilet....the WASHER. It shakes. a lot. You can get a free back massage anywhere in the house! For some reason, my room and ash's room are the shake-y-est. Its weird.
Internet-oh the internet. If it is sunny, hot, windy, rainy, dark, cold, not cold, or anytime between 12:00am and 11:59pm...our internet doesn't work. Not kidding....sorta. We have called the "internet people that are supposed to help us" and tried to get advice on what to do. They seem to not enjoy us calling. Crazy people. Somehow we figured out that the internet only works if it is DIRECTLY connected to the thingy that comes out of the floor in the living room. Yep, that means that we can only have internet OR tv...not both at the same time. The perks of living in a trailer. I love it. I'm 100% sure that there will be many more trailer stories.
My little brother stole my car. I have(had) the loveliest car in all the land... I went to Colorado, came home, and my car was no more. It's Aaron's car now. (It's okay, I still love you.)
***quick interruption: Amy just tried to show me her abs and almost peed***
I have never had the privilege of riding the bus to school. THEN I WENT TO COLLEGE. Yes, tiger transit is my new car. It is truly an adventure everyday.
There are kinda several unspoken rules: if there's an empty seat, take it. DO NOT sit next to anyone else. That would be unheard of, silly. If every double seat is taken, there's always room to stand! I've had the privilege of doing this once. (The boys are always gentlemen and offer the girls their seats, but I refused, of course. I HAD to experience standing on a moving vehicle. Not as easy as it looks...) Also, no talking. (Perhaps Amy and I will someday break that code and laugh till our sides hurt on the deathly silent bus. Oh, wait.....)
So anyways, I hope you have enjoyed these ramblings and that you will have the honor of joining us on our daily bus extravaganzas one day.
We got to school and decorated our bathroom. Of course, we have to decorate our bathroom! We got these cute Mason jars and used a hose clamp? and wood and made a jar shelf. We stick our toothpaste and toothbrush in them!! Oh funny, Ash and I have the EXACT same toothbrush AND toothpaste!! baha. insane.
The student center is crazy. Busy. Loud. Today after class I was searching high and low for my best roomie, Ash. I detoured to the bathroom and came out still searching for Ashleigh. Well here is where it gets good.. from behind me a SUPER HERO came zooming past me. I am not joking. It was Flash. Flash was just coming out of the boys bathroom and excited to leave, I guess. I am still not sure why Flash was in the AUSC(Auburn University Student Center) but it was pretty funny.
RBD. Thats the Library. Once we went there at 11:30pm because I had an assignment due at midnight. Well we don't have internet and so thats why we went to RBD. My assignment didn't load. Bummy, huh? Well the next day I realized that my assignment was due at NOON. So I still got it submitted and got a funny trip to RBD. Now I would call that a success.
We like mustaches.
((drum roll))
WE WENT ON A RUN TODAY!!!!!!!!!
and one day...sooner than later hopefully, we will be going to Disney World(hopefully for my 21st birthday which is in 34 days, but I haven't asked mom yet). We also want to go to the beach, so if anyone has a place for us to use for the weekend-let me know! and certainly not last but our lovely Hau girls are gonna come visit and have lots of fun.
Thats our life so far. Its fun-ny. and as you have probably realized, this blog has nothing, whatsoever, to do with pilates.
Love God. Love Others. That is the most important thing you could ever learn, know, and practice.
Love,
Amy & Ash
